Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information In Case Anything Happens ("we," "us") collects when you visit incaseanythinghappens.com, download our free checklists, or buy the planner — and how we use and protect it. We keep it plain because that's the whole point of what we make.
The short version: we collect only what we need to send you what you asked for, ship your order, and understand how the site is doing. We do not sell your personal information.
Information you give us
- Your email address — when you ask for a free printable checklist, so we can send it to you and, if you choose, occasional related guides. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Order and shipping details — when you purchase. Payment is handled by our payment processor (Stripe); your card details are entered directly into Stripe's own secure fields, so we never see or store your card number. We receive your name, email, and order details. For physical orders, your name, shipping address and phone number are passed to our print-and-ship partner (Lulu) to fulfill and deliver your book.
- Anything you email us — if you contact support, we keep that correspondence to help you.
The planner itself is a private document you fill in for your own family. We never receive, see, or store what you write inside it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect limited technical and usage information to keep the site working and improve it:
- Usage analytics via Microsoft Clarity — which pages are viewed, general location (city/country level), device and browser type, and anonymized interaction data (such as scrolling and clicks) to see what's helpful and what's confusing.
- Advertising measurement via the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API — so we can measure whether our ads lead to visits and purchases. This may include a hashed identifier and page/purchase events.
- Standard server logs — IP address, referring page, and timestamps, kept for security and troubleshooting.
How we use your information
- To deliver the free checklist or guide you requested.
- To process, fulfill, and ship your order and provide support.
- To send related guides or updates if you opted in — never without your consent, and always with an unsubscribe link.
- To measure and improve the site and understand which content and ads are useful.
- To protect against fraud and keep the site secure.
The services we rely on
We share information only with the trusted providers that help us run the site — never for their own independent marketing:
| Provider | What it does |
| Stripe | Payment processing |
| Lulu | Printing and shipping of physical books |
| Resend / Kit | Sending the checklist and email updates |
| Microsoft Clarity | Website usage analytics |
| Meta | Measuring and improving our advertising |
| Vercel | Website hosting |
Each provider processes your information under its own privacy terms and only to perform its service for us.
Cookies and tracking
Our analytics and advertising tools (Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel) use cookies and similar technologies. You can control or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through your Meta ad preferences and tools like the Digital Advertising Alliance.
Do we sell your data?
No. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the measurement described above.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails anytime via the link in any message.
- Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — just ask.
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights to access, delete, or restrict use of your data. We honor those requests.
To make any request, email hello@cozyparadise.info and we'll respond promptly.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — to maintain your subscription, fulfill and support your order, meet legal and accounting obligations, and keep the site secure — then delete or anonymize it.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and revise the effective date at the top.
